Fine art photography refers to photographs that are created to fulfill the creative vision of the artist. Fine art photography stands in contrast to photojournalism and commercial photography.

My style: A tribute to beauty and grace.

I mostly use nude women, men and couples in an esthetic way. Now and then it bears a hint of erotics. They never are ‘searching for contact‘ with the spectator, so they are always looking away. Not seldom they are not even recognizable. It‘s not a portrait of a certain person, it‘s an image with a person.

Both the model and the background are sober. Tattoo‘s are rarely seen. I do use accessories sometimes but only to symbolize the theme. There is no competition in my pictures. And background always stays in behind.

Another characteristic is the low profile of processing in almost all of my photographs. "Straight from the camera on the wall" is the goal that I strive. So what you see is what I have been seen...

About

I‘m an experienced professional photographer. I work for business clients and private people in the range Portrait till Boudoir (lingerie). Also I do model photography, give workshops to both photographers and models and act as a model coach. I also design websites, logos and brochures.

Studio139 in Goudriaan, in the center of The Netherlands, is my work space. The studio (5 different rooms) is well equipped with 18 flash lights, soft boxes and a great deal of accessories.

Born in 1948, married, 3 daughters, 7 grand children. We live in a great house in a quiet village. I play chess, write poets and like to do puzzles and quizzes.

Models

I‘m always looking for good models. If you think you are the rigth person to act in my fine art, just fill in the information form. If you fit within my vision we can discuss the details.

I ask for: minimum age of 18, good body shape, no dominating tattoos or piercings, some experience in modeling, no problems with nudity.

Models with special skills (trained dancers, great agility, muscular body, extremely tattooed) are also invited to respond.

The models must have right amount of artistic sentiment and a good understanding of their role in artistic photography. I am not looking for models who are posing to get some "nice" photographs. Within Fine Art a model is always subservient to the purposes of the photographer.

Invited Fine Art models will be compensated for their cooperation. A written agreement including a model relaese is part of the deal.
An audition (at travel costs) is usually part of the procedure.
